An exciting position has become available to join a dynamic and young commercial construction company as a Project & Administrative Assistant. Rayner Construction Services (RCS) has a wide variety of ongoing and upcoming projects, including Government facility renovations, office interior fit ups, tenant improvements, restaurant fit outs & school board projects.

RCS is a Prairie based, home grown company, that currently has 2 offices located in Calgary (Head Office) and Vancouver (Branch Office). This provides RCS with the unique opportunity to service their clients effectively across Western Canada with future ambitions to expand east!
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Compile data, statistics, and other information
- Assist General Manager with administrative needs such as meeting minutes, creating & maintaining tracking logs, estimating, HR communication, travel arrangements, event co-ordination, implementation of new policies / procedures etc.
- Review, evaluate and implement new administrative procedures
- Manage and maintain social media, website and promotional items
- Maintain accurate and consistent files and documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Assist with construction coordination and project administration, safety paperwork, shop drawings, RFI’s, purchase orders, change notices and project completion documents
- Assist with construction estimating and the migration to Procore
- Demonstrate leadership in RCS’s safety program to ensure a safe work environment
- Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Administrator or Coordinator position in the commercial construction industry
- Experience with Procore software would be an enormous asset
- Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft Office
- Requires valid driver’s license
- Excellent typing, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience with marketing, social media, and events management is an asset
- Ability to work closely with Superintendents, Office & Field Staff

- Strong customer service skills and focus on customer satisfaction
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract requirements and blue print drawings
- Goal-oriented, work well under pressure and can meet demanding deadlines
- High aptitude for learning, ideally with future career aspirations to move up in the company
- Strong planning, organization, and time management skills with an attention to detail
