Recruitment & Administration Assistant (Remote)
Young Minds Eye (YME) is a not-for-profit aiming to provide free educational services to students who have difficulties accessing resources. Our Organization originally started as our student group Help Young Minds at the University of Alberta. We now focus on establishing our organisation on a national scale to serve more youths out there. At YME, we strive to work together as a team, support each other and push each of our programs forward to make an impact on our community.
We are looking for a couple of volunteers who are passionate and are eager learners to join the 2023-2024 Recruitment team at the Young Minds Eye foundation as a Recruitment & Administration Assistant. The ideal volunteer can commit 3-5 hours per week, starting the beginning of mid-September. This volunteer will assist the Director of Recruitment and the Head of Outreach & Recruitment with a variety of tasks.
Role Description:
- Assist Head Director and Director in streamlining the recruitment process
- Assist Director in conducting interviews and onboarding
- Conduct Orientation and check in with newly onboarded Volunteers
- Assist Director with connecting with Department/Program heads for feedback on volunteers
- Assist Director with recruitment strategies and processes.
- Assist Director with variety of administrative works
- Advocate for volunteers and answer generic volunteer inquires.
- Answering and helping/guiding program/department managers.
- Assisting with Head Director and Director streamlining the off-boarding process
- Assist Head Director in Young Minds Camp in July
- Assist Director with Volunteer Engagement and recognition strategies
- Meeting with Director bi-weekly.
Qualifications:
-HR/Onboarding Experience
- Experience in recruiting is an asset
- HR credentials: Diploma, Degree, or Certification
- 3-5 hours a week.
