Scotiabank, a leading global financial institution committed to empowering its customers and communities, is seeking an experienced and empathetic individual to join our Human Resources team as a Senior Manager, HR Solutions & Business Value. In this role, you will bring prior experience as an HR business partner and / or consultant to deliver value and provide strategic guidance within our International Banking and global HRBP group.

International Banking has a well-established, diversified franchise that serves Retail, Corporate, and Commercial customers across our footprint in Latin America, including the Pacific Alliance countries of Mexico, Peru, Chile and Colombia, and the Caribbean, Central America, and Uruguay. Fluency in Spanish is a requirement for this position.

Key Accountabilities

• Use data to identify patterns and trends, measure the impact of HR solutions and make data-driven recommendations to enhance business value.
• Shape, influence and align HR strategies and solutions with the overall goals and objectives of International Banking and the enterprise.
• Enable multiple HR priorities – such as talent and succession planning, employee listening, and year-end – to meet targets and deadlines.
• Research and share industry trends and emerging practices related to HR, agile product delivery, human centered design, data and analytics, and generative AI.
• Collaborate within the Global HR Business Partner group and across Total Rewards, Talent Management, and HR Services especially the HR Insights & Analytics team.
• Partner closely with / act as a trusted advisor to HRBPs and leaders, nurturing agility and a 'build once, use many' mindset to drive innovation and scale.
• Define problems and champion a user-centric approach to develop and implement innovative HR solutions in a team-based setting.

Experience / Education

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions that drive business value.
• Practice in applying agile methodologies and human-centered design principles to drive innovation, foster collaboration and optimize pace.
• Fluency in Spanish is a requirement for this position, with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with Spanish-speaking employees and stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building strong relationships that impact and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to leverage HR metrics to shape and influence decision-making.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in any combination of HR business partner and / or consulting with a desire to understand the unique dynamics within International Banking.
