Job Summary
The National Sales & Marketing Account Manager will work with our largest customers to raise awareness of company offerings and initiate new business ventures to increase market share and meet fiscal goals. Responsible for end-to-end account management including administration, analytics, forecast, fulfillment, updating product information, building, and maintaining customer relationships. Provides National Account with superior sales & customer support while focusing on the planning, execution, and promotion of The Company’s multi-brand product offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements the National Account business plan for the National Accounts group, including profit and loss, operations, budget forecasting, and sales goals.
- Develops, implements, and monitors marketing plans and promotions to ensure the achievement of objectives.
- Develops promotional suggestions in accordance w/ customer requirements including and not limited to:
-Product Mix & Merchandising options
-Pricing/Margin analysis
-Forecasting & Ops Support
- Leads internal development of line review presentations:
-Recommends product and promotional strategy
-Analyzes SKU performance & makes POG recommendations
-Develops & coordinates prototypes and marketing materials
-Works with Finance on profitability analysis
- Work cross functionally with US marketing/segments, sales directors, supply chain and operations, to make sure all sales/marketing programs are delivered with a high level of quality exceeding customer expectations
- Coordinates ongoing market and competitive research to identify consumer needs as well as understand the changes in the industry to improve the company’s position in the marketplace.
- Create and conduct quarterly in-depth sales presentations that highlight key benefits, POS, ROI, and identify SKU rationalization opportunities and new item replacements.
- Develops annual and multi-year sales strategies to meet sales and organic growth targets
- Utilizes customer POS & Inventory data to effectively manage and grow Paulin/Hillman categories.
Develop and maintain relationships within assigned accounts; improve client utilization and product/service adoption rates.
Collaborate with customer contacts, analyze, assess, and document client results to ensure customer needs are being met.
Identify and target new business sales opportunities that close quickly for the highest revenue.
Communicates regularly with office staff to provide information, answer questions, and assist with issues
Promote and maintain the organization's brand image and identity within the marketplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Support and follow internal health and safety programs and protocols.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Pursue contract renewals and pricing negotiations.

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience with large size retail accounts an asset.
- Ability to create and edit sales materials and presentations.
- Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, other stakeholders.
- Ability to write clear and concise value proposition statements.
- Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions.
- Experience with vendor management systems (i.e., E1, SAP).
- Able to effectively communicate key information to all audiences.
- Some travel is required
- 3+ years of account management experience.
- Ability to coordinate, organize and present product demonstrations and other events.
- Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.
- Strong consultative skills.
- Familiar with on-line e-commerce.
- Excellent speaking skills, including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
