National Sales & Marketing Account Manager - Retail
Are you a laser-focused Home Depot Account Manager ready for your next challenge? Our client needs a rock star to manage their HDC business portfolio encompassing multiple brands, categories, and many skus.
Big Times Products/H Pauini, a division of The Hillman Group has retained us to identify their next National Sales & Marketing Manager - Retail.
Using your sales and marketing/creativity, you'll work to raise awareness of company offerings and initiate new business ventures to increase market share and meet fiscal goals.
  • Responsible for end-to-end account management including administration, analytics, forecast, fulfillment, updating product information, and building, and maintaining customer relationships. Provide HD with superior sales & customer support while focusing on the planning, execution, and promotion of The Company’s multi-brand product offerings.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develops promotional suggestions in accordance w/ customer requirements such as:
  • Develops and implements the National Account business plan for the National Accounts group, including profit and loss, operations, budget forecasting, and sales goals.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors marketing plans and promotions to ensure the achievement of objectives.
-Product Mix & Merchandising options -Recommends product and promotional strategy Competencies:
  • Utilizes customer POS & Inventory data to manage and grow categories effectively.
  • Develop & coordinate prototypes and marketing materials
  • Resilience - Positively impacts the team and the organization by dealing effectively with pressure; remains optimistic and recovers quickly from setbacks.
  • Continual Learning - Assesses and recognizes own strengths and weaknesses; pursues self-development

  • Promote and maintain the organization's brand image and identity within the marketplace.
  • Pricing/Margin analysis
  • Pursue contract renewals and pricing negotiations.
  • Develops annual and multi-year sales strategies to meet sales and organic growth target
  • Problem-Solving - Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; evaluates and generates alternative solutions; makes recommendations.
  • Forecasting & Ops Support
  • Coordinates ongoing market and competitive research to identify consumer needs as well as understand the changes in the industry to improve the company’s position in the marketplace.
  • Communicates regularly with office staff to provide information, answer questions, and assist with issues
  • Identify and target new business sales opportunities that close quickly for the highest revenue.
  • Collaborate with customer contacts, analyze, assess, and document client results to ensure customer needs are being met.
  • Analyzes SKU performance & makes POG recommendations
  • Work cross-functionally with US teammates in marketing/segments, sales directors, supply chain, and operations, to make sure all sales/marketing programs are delivered with a high level of quality exceeding customer expectations
  • Create and conduct quarterly in-depth sales presentations that highlight key benefits, POS, and ROI, and identify SKU rationalization opportunities and new item replacements.
  • Works with Finance on profitability analysis
  • Leadership - Shows a high degree of personal integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior; respects & protects confidential information; holds self-accountable for results.
  • Leads internal development of line review presentations:
Qualifications
  • Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.
  • Familiar with online e-commerce.
  • Ability to coordinate, organize and present product demonstrations and other events.
  • Experience with large-size retail accounts is an asset, Home Depot familiarity is preferred.
  • Some travel is required
  • Excellent speaking skills, including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences.
  • Able to effectively communicate key information to all audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to write clear and concise value proposition statements.
  • 3+ years of account management experience.
  • Strong consultative skills.
  • Experience with vendor management systems (i.e., E1, SAP).
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to create and edit sales materials and presentations.
  • Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
