Your Opportunity


We are looking for a Brand Senior Manager to join the Marketing team and own the following responsibilities:


  • Build and protect BDO’s brand and reputation, ranging from the application of our corporate visual identity standards to management of reputational risks
  • Collaborate and consult with fellow peers and team members, relevant subject matter experts and stakeholders on marketing messages, materials or tactics to achieve business objectives
  • Lead and manage the brand portfolio to increasing brand awareness and influence brand perception. Areas of focus include BDO’s Canadian brand, talent brand, social media, brand operations, public relations, and BDO’s Golf Canada Elite sponsorship.
  • Develop and execute a brand strategy to build a compelling, consistent brand for BDO’s talent and businesses audiences, and manage the execution and operations of the strategy.
  • Lead a culture of testing to assess marketing effectiveness, and use data and analytics to analyze marketing results, provide feedback on effectiveness and make recommendations for future initiatives
  • Regularly scan the marketplace (competitors and non-competitors) to stay up to date on current trends and best practices, and interpret market data into insights to find innovative and effective ways to engage target audiences
  • Advise internal stakeholders on marketing recommendations and issues, and build consensus through collaboration and negotiation
  • Guide, monitor and manage related processes, workflows and report related to branding activities to ensure effective and efficiency utilization of resources
  • Lead a team to manage and execute brand activities that are aligned to the firm strategy, results oriented, and executed with quality.
  • Manage vendor and agency relationships, including budgeting and measurement of performance
  • Provide input, direction, analysis and recommendations for branding to the marketing team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate national brand strategies to the related leadership teams to build alignment and coordination of brand initiatives to the overall marketing strategy

Your Experience And Education


  • Strong interpersonal and client service skills, and the ability to lead a consultative approach to work with internal stakeholders across different levels of seniority and facilitate discussion
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media strategies, best practices, and analytics
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in marketing, including developing and executing a brand strategy and marketing campaigns
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
  • Exceptional project management skills and organizational skills
  • Professional executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • University degree in related business, marketing or communications field combined with 5+ years of experience at a senior leadership level.
  • Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, marshal resources and manage change in a matrix environment
  • Experienced people leader with outstanding team-building and coaching skills, and the ability to recognize and guide various working styles to build an effective team
  • Driven self-starter with a proactive approach
  • Exceptional business acumen with an ability to understand and communicate BDO's value proposition and assess marketing requests against business objectives and defined goals
