Human Resources Advisor (Bilingual)

**The individual may be based in Ottawa region, Quebec, or the Maritimes. As part of your duties, you will be working with internal clients in Quebec and the Maritimes on a regular basis. You will also collaborate on a regular basis with the team members based in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia in addition to contributing to national mandates covering all Canadian provinces. **

The Human Resources Consultant is responsible for providing effective and quality support to the managers of the various divisions in his/her region, including the application of UAP procedures/strategies/programs. You will ensure the adoption of best practices in human resources management, the management of the application of the PEP process, the salary review process, health and safety issues. You are the guarantor of the quality of the employee experience and engagement.

Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you will participate in several HR projects as needed.

Here Are Your Responsibilities

HR PROGRAMS AND PROCESSES

• Supports managers in welcoming, orienting and training new employees, and ensures a systematic follow-up of the integration of new employees.
• Participates in certain committees (employee participation committee, health and safety committee, etc.)
• Deploys HR processes and ensures their application within operations, including PEP process, salary review, vacation management, absenteeism, health and safety.
• Works closely with the talent attraction team and supports the management team as needed.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

• Supports and coaches managers on employee relations, training, job reviews (for evaluations), health and safety, and performance issues.
• May be required to assist with store transactions (corporate to associate and vice versa).

SUPPORT TO HRBP

• Coordinates HR related events.
• Participates or leads improvement initiatives for the HR department.
• Assists HRBP (HR Business Partner) and the HR team with specific tasks and projects.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Leads the H&S claims process.
• Supports all operational aspects of health and safety in his/her region such as making and following up on requests and assisting managers in the management of H&S files and prevention plans.

Requirements

To join our team, you will need, among other things:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Bilingualism (French and English) as you will be collaborating regularly with colleagues across Canada;
• Five years of experience in an HR generalist role.
• Travel to other Canadian provinces required
