Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous, patient-oriented Clinical Administrative Assistant to join our Canadian telehealth team, currently based in London, ON and Burlington, ON. The Clinical Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the delivery of virtual primary healthcare services and other administrative tasks as required by our Allied Health Team. The assistant will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to facilitate the assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients within our Virtual Men's Health Clinic ecosystem. This role requires a basic understanding of Canadian healthcare systems, a commitment to healthcare excellence, and proficiency in telehealth platforms.
The ideal candidate is an empathetic, self-motivated individual who is comfortable navigating the unique administrative needs associated with serving men in various communities across Canada. This role would suit someone who can handle a fast-paced environment, is able to multitask effectively, and has excellent communication skills to liaise between patients and our medical team.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a virtual healthcare environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
- Post-secondary education (Bachelor’s degree or Technical diploma) preferred; certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Proficiency in using healthcare software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong customer service skills and empathy for patients, particularly in understanding the unique healthcare needs of men.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, healthcare systems, and procedures in the Canadian healthcare context.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively in a remote, digital environment.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in a digital healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Support virtual clinical operations by managing administrative tasks, including patient scheduling, data entry, and digital record-keeping.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals in a virtual setting.
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, responding to inquiries and concerns via email, chat, or video conferencing in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in virtual healthcare team meetings, contributing to the improvement of clinical administrative processes.
- Coordinate patient flow by organizing virtual patient appointments, tests, and procedures.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the clinical staff.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of digital medical documents, such as insurance forms, patient charts, and reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient medical records in compliance with PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act) guidelines and digital privacy standards.
- Collaborate with the virtual clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Start Date: June 1, 2023.
Location: Full-time Remote/Hybrid London, ON.
