Human Resources Payroll Manager

We are looking for a Human Resources & Payroll Manager to join a leader in the Montreal fashion industry!

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and hire new staff
• Provide auditors with payroll reports, information, entries, files
• Assist with Performance Reviews
• Ensure data integrity in the payroll system, process new hires, and ensure changes to employee status are made
• Plan all company events
• Update all changes in Ceridian System (new hires, terminations, salary changes, group insurance, garnishments, vacation, special deductions, sick days etc)
• Manage all Human Resource, Payroll and benefits related issues within Canada and the US
• Handle all employee-related issues and requests
• Prepare monthly payroll Journal Entries for Accounting Dept.
• Maintain and update Employee Handbook for the US
• Monitor changes in pay legislation for Quebec, Ontario and New York
• Apply for government credits including Design Tax Credit and Emploi Quebec Subvention Salariale
• Process Year End including T4’S, Releve 1, 1% training, CNESST Déclarations, WSIB
• Prepare and submit records of employment, termination letters and vacation payments upon termination
• Review, process and complete full payroll cycle on a bi-weekly basis, for Canadian and US Employees

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or human resources
• Canadian Payroll Association designation
• Knowledge Ceridian and Justworks a plus
• 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
• Bilingual, in English and French
