The Payroll Coordinator will support the team already in place by completing all the tasks associated with the payroll and benefits operations for all Bath Fitter employees, therefore for approximately 1,100 employees located throughout Canada and the United States. The candidate would possess attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and have a helpful and supportive demeanor. The candidate we’re looking for is bilingual and his or her experience with payroll systems will be considered as an asset.
This position is for a 3-day workweek and availability to replace 5-day workweek during payroll team vacation.
Tasks And Responsibilities
Collect American and Canadian payroll data in order to determine the remuneration to be given
Verify data accuracy and validate data in compliance with the company’s policies
Proceed with the computer processing of payroll, ensuring no data is lost in the process
Produce reports, summaries and reviews relative to payroll processing
Respond to payroll related queries
Resolution to issues or disputes in quick and timely manner
Enter data in the systems used by the HR department and prepare different reports
Collaborate with payroll team with support when required
Recommend the modifications required for optimizing the payroll processing procedures and systems.
Job Requirements
DCS (DEC) in accounting or in payroll administration.
Minimum of 3 years of experience holding a similar position.
Bilingualism, French and English (spoken and written)[1].
A basic knowledge of the current laws and regulation of Canadian and American remuneration systems, an asset.
Have 3 years of experience in Human resources, Finances, payroll or a similar field.
Knowledge of Canadian labour laws and social benefits (specifically for Ontario, New Brunswick and British Columbia).
Knowledge of American labour laws and social benefits.
Excellent mastery of MS Office applications; primarily Excel.
Knowledge of the Ultipro system, an asset.
[1] Fluency in French and English is required as the employee will be working with employees in St-Eustache and Tennessee.
