About the Position
We have a great opportunity open for a talented Payroll Administrator/Accountant to be part of our global operations. This full-time position will be responsible for Canadian and US payroll/benefits activities along with a variety of accounting related tasks within our global organization. This is a hybrid position to work in our Ottawa (Carp) office reporting to the Controller.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure payroll procedures are compliant with SOX and ISO documentation and assist Finance department with year-end, SOX, IT audits and budget preparation
- Administration of Replicon time tracking system
- Responsible for processing employee travel expenses and administration of SAP Concur
- Serve as the contact for employees’ payroll enquiries
- All payroll related journal entries and schedules to be performed by the Payroll Administrator. This includes but is not limited to payroll, 401k, benefits, vacation and payroll accrual, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Workers compensation, COBRA, etc.
- Responsible for full cycle Payroll function for our Canadian and US offices, as well as coordinating with local payroll service providers for staff in global offices
- Ensure compliance with all Canadian Federal and Provincial agencies; and US Federal and State government regulations pertaining to payroll
- Other duties as required
What you will bring to the Role...
- Experience with ADP WorkForce Now (CDN) and/or ADP Run (US) is preferred
- Strong computer knowledge including experience with Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, processes and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and solutions driven as it relates to internal controls and processes
- Payroll certification is considered an asset
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Canadian Payroll Administration. US and International payroll experience would be an asset.
- Experience performing accounting functions within A/R, A/P, and/or General ledgers are strong assets
- Able to maintain high level of confidentiality with tact and diplomacy
- A Customer Center focus with a willingness to learn and take ownership
- Able to demonstrate Senstar values of Excellence, Innovation, Integrity and Teamwork
- Experience in account reconciliations
- Functional knowledge of SAP Concur and ERP system is an asset
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) in English are essential
- Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business or other relevant program and/or equivalent experience

Location
This is a full-time position located in our Ottawa/Carp Office on a hybrid model.
