Job Description

Browns Shoes, a family-owned business established in Montreal in 1940, now with 70 stores across Canada, is synonymous with top international designer collections, luxurious leather goods, and exclusive street savvy fashion for ladies, men and children.


We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Payroll Coordinator with a minimum of five years’ experience and recent payroll experience who will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for up to 2000 employees, as well as processing all new hires, terminations, rate changes, adjustments, and other administrative tasks, while remaining familiar with Canadian labor laws.


Responsibilities:

  • Part-Time hour maintenance and imports.
  • Responding to payroll and benefits related inquiries from store and office employees.
  • Process all statutory holiday calculations and payments.
  • Maintain database of personnel information and accurate payroll records.
  • Preparing and distributing reports.


Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of the ADP Workforce Now/Payroll system is an asset.
  • Active member of the CPA with certification or in the process of acquiring it is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (Spoken and written French/English)
  • Good knowledge of Word, Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup etc.) and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the retail industry is an asset.
  • Organization, efficient, multitasking, detail oriented and have a numerical aptitude.
  • Must be discreet, reliable, and highly disciplined.

Nous recherchons un(e) coordinateur(trice) de paie hautement qualifié(e) et expérimenté(e) avec un minimum de cinq ans d'expérience et une expérience récente dans le domaine de la paie. Il/elle sera responsable du traitement de la paie bi-hebdomadaire pour environs 2000 employés, ainsi que du traitement de toutes les nouvelles embauches, des cessations d'emploi, des changements de taux, des ajustements et d'autres tâches administratives, tout en restant familiarisé(e) avec le code du travail canadien.


Responsabilités :

  • Répondre aux questions relatives à la paie et aux avantages sociaux posées par les employés du magasin et du bureau.
  • Préparer et distribuer des rapports.
  • Gestion et importation des heures de travail des employés à temps partiel.
  • Traiter tous les calculs et paiements des jours fériés.
  • Maintenir une base de données d'informations sur le personnel et des registres de paie exacts.


Exigences

  • Une connaissance pratique du système ADP Workforce Now/Payroll est un atout.
  • Doit être discrète, fiable et très disciplinée
  • Organisation, efficacité, multitâche et aptitude numérique.
  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement au rythme rapide et au sein d'une équipe.
  • Une expérience dans le secteur de la vente au détail est un atout.
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais/parlé et écrit)
  • Bonne connaissance de la suite Office; Word, Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup etc.) et Outlook
  • Membre actif de l'ACP avec certification ou en cours d'acquisition est un atout.
