Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Human Resources Consultant to join our team in Canada.
The Human Resources Consultant is responsible for crafting and implementing an organizational talent strategy to enable organizational strategic goals; leading and continuously developing a customer-focused HR team; and serving as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.
Reporting Structure
This role will report to the CEO and while working closely with the other members of the Executive Team.
Critical Accountabilities
- Develops and monitors resources and budgets.
- Provides analysis, support, and recommendations to the senior leadership team on talent-related issues.
- Builds, leads, and develops the Human Resources function.
- Develops, executes, monitors, and evaluates the organizational talent strategy and compensation program,.
- Acts as trusted advisor to the senior leadership team.
- Champions the desired organizational culture, with a focus on employee experience.
- Manages talent-related compliance and risk issues.
Qualification & Experience
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience interacting with executive teams and/or boards of directors.
- 5+ years of experience in complex change and/or program management.
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Adult Education, Business, or related field.
- Proficiency with HR information systems and the Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of people management experience.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
- HR certification (e.g. SHRP, CHRE).
Note: This role is in a virtual team environment and the role holder will need to have open availability. Evening and Weekend availability may be required from time to time.
