Profile: We are looking for a business development rep based in Ontario to sell carbon-based products to manufacturers from Ontario to Western Canada. The person we seek has a bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in material science, chemistry, physics or earth science. You have experience selling to industrial clients.
Territory: Ontario and Western Canada
Workplace: Work from home (based in Ontario)
Products/Services: Carbon-based products
Salary: Base $90,000-$100,000
Commissions/Bonus: 20% on base + profit sharing
Car allowance: Company car + car expenses paid+ gas card
Expense’s reimbursement: All reasonable expenses repaid

Functions

• Build proposals and submit to interested parties
• Develop strong solution-selling opportunities
• Visit clients and prospects on a regular basis
• Identify and develop relationships with key stakeholders in customer base
• Engage with a cross-functional team of people internally to ensure we sell the right solutions
• Research and identify target applications
• Keep CRM up to date with projects

Requirements
Development vs Maintenance: 25% vs 75%
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: English (written and spoken)
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably in material science, chemistry, physics or earth science
Training: On the job training provided
Overnight Travel: Up to 50% travel across Ontario and Western Canada
Years of experience: At least 3 years in a similar field
Other requirements: Experience selling carbon-based materials to manufacturers and industrial clients.

• Knowledge of ferrous or non-ferrous foundry applications, ferro-alloys and pure alloys for cast metals
