As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for a number of Sales Development Representatives to join our team. This position will report to the Sales Director located here in Calgary, Alberta.
Lightship has been successful in attracting some of the largest companies in the world as clients, and it’s time to expand our footprint in the market. The Sales Development Representative role is focused on finding and developing commercial relationships with prospective clients in our heavy industry target verticals. We’re looking for someone that is resilient and is a top performer.
Lightship is the backbone software application to connect, direct, and complete work. We automate and systemize best practice: getting the right information to the right people at the right time. This includes an amazing application (web and mobile) to complete work, and all the necessary integrations to make sure information flows to and from legacy applications and systems.
Job requirements will include:
- Be knowledgeable and a product expert to find solutions for our prospect’s problems
- Execute monthly and quarterly quotas
- Systematically research and develop prospects consistent with Lightship strategic sales programs
- Identify, contact and build relationships with prospects through phone calls, email, and social media channels.
- Bring ideas forward to the team that can impact the sales process and consult on high level sales initiatives
- Own personal CRM software account on a daily basis, to company best practice standards
- Communicate and collaborate with sales team to ensure a smooth transition of prospects through the sales funnel
- Execute outbound campaigns by researching and sequencing prospects
- Add value and be viewed as a trusted advisor by bringing compelling insights and ideas to our prospects
- Be up to date with industry trends and news in heavy industry verticals, across energy, industrial manufacturing, utilities, construction, mining, and emergency response.
Candidate requirements include:
- Senior roles are available for candidates with SDR experience
- You must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to research and understand the relevance between our product and the prospect’s business challenges
- The ability to have business impact on the phone and to craft well written emails
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Other preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience related to automation, analytics, decision support, or safety systems
- Familiarity with prospecting techniques and sales software tools
- A strong understanding or experience in heavy industry (energy, industrial manufacturing, utilities, construction, mining, and emergency response)
- B2B SaaS experience
Compensation:
