About Vayle:
In today's digital era, public sector entities face unprecedented challenges when it comes to information compliance. A surge in the volume of information assets resulting from digital transformation initiatives has left provincial agencies, municipalities, police agencies, school boards, and other government organizations struggling to keep pace.
That's where Vayle comes in. Founded in 2021, we provide market-leading information compliance software and services designed to alleviate this burden. Our flagship application, Vayle FOI, is already used to process approximately one-quarter of reported municipal Freedom of Information (FOI) in Ontario. Vayle's brand has rapidly emerged as a category leader throughout the province as we set our sights on entering new markets across Canada.
At Vayle, we offer a ground-floor opportunity to be part of an innovative company that is transforming information compliance in the public sector landscape. As we embark on an exciting phase of expansion, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to help drive our growth throughout Canada.
Role Description:
You will collaborate closely with our Founder and CEO to secure new FOI software and services engagements with municipal sector engagements across Canada. Your mission will be to develop and execute innovative strategies to engage new prospects and establish partnerships with industry groups that cater to our target market. The ideal candidate will bring valuable experience and connections within the Canadian public sector and a solid understanding of MFIPPA, FIPPA, and other provincial privacy and information access legislation.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with Canadian municipal agencies to present our software and services through outbound and partner channels.
- Capture and record feedback on client requirements, objections, and opportunities to build future use cases within our CRM.
- Build and execute new strategies to identify and engage municipal sector prospects, helping the company refine its sales approach and methodologies.
- In coordination with company leadership, create quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
Requirements:
- You are a Canadian citizen and willing to undergo a police background check.
- You are an entrepreneurial and performance-driven business development professional looking to make your mark in an early-stage company at the centre of a rapidly growing industry.
- You are a professional networker that can leverage existing contacts to build relationships at all levels, including CAOs, Clerks, Deputy Clerks, Records Managers, and FOI supervisors.
- You are a person of high integrity; this is core to our brand promise.
- You are naturally curious – interested in learning about client issues, industry, and competitor developments.
- You are genuinely interested in information access (FOI) and privacy compliance.
- You have had direct experience working in the Canadian public sector, ideally at a municipal level.
Role Type:
- This is a full-time role; however, we will consider a contract relationship.
Location:
- This is a virtual work-from-home position for candidates, ideally based in the GTA.
Compensation:
- We offer a competitive salary and commission plan.
Equal Opportunity Employer:
- Vayle is an equal-opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members.
You can apply for this exciting opportunity by submitting your application via LinkedIn or emailing your resume to [email protected].
