As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for helping set the vision and strategy of Sauce Labs solution for our customers, and help establish a level of credibility for the sales team to launch into their sales cycle. This includes speaking with executive sponsors as well participating in sales calls to help the customer understand Sauce’s position in the market and establish our market leading reputation.
The ideal candidate has experience in leading small regional teams of field based solution (sales) engineers. Experience leading a global team is a plus. By joining Sauce, you’ll be bringing your experience, processes, and ideas to the sales leadership team and help continue to elevate the solution engineering team to more strategic heights. You lead as much as you manage, and you inspire your team to greatness. We’re looking for a person that has opinions about how to run a team, is willing to take risks to drive success, and can build a solid team culture that attracts and retains talent.
Key Responsibilities Include

• Take leadership on process improvement by defining career plans, job levels, and career path options.
• Collecting and reporting key metrics to management.
• Act in mentorship capacity for junior Commercial AEs to enhance discovery, qualification, and technical sales skills.
• Technical forecasting and participating in the weekly North America and EMEA Forecast meetings to represent technical progress and identify gaps.
• Ensuring proper sales process and hygiene is in place.
• Recruiting, hiring and development of team members.
• Travel for customer visits and supporting team members. (10% < but < 50%)
• Define and report on Win/Loss technical reasons for the NA business.
• Facilitate team growth through new processes, ideas, and innovation of solution engineering practices.
• Provide leadership to Solution Engineering Managers and individual contributors across the Global theater.
• Building strong intra-company relationships with stakeholders in Product Management, Marketing, and Development.
• Develop a new management layer under the role to provide better support to the team and provide career advancement opportunities.

Your base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, along with its relationship to the base salaries of current team members at Sauce Labs that are similarly situated.

$200,000—$255,000 USD
