The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of high quality services to top tier public and private sector clients. Working in a team, the Senior Consultant will advise on major capital projects for government (federal, provincial and municipal) as well as the private sector across a wide variety of sectors including mining, power and utilities, oil and gas, accommodation, transportation, waste to energy, and water and wastewater.

What You Will Do
  • Perform research, data gathering and analysis
  • Commercial structuring of complex contracts
  • Project governance and project management frameworks
  • Infrastructure planning and strategy
  • Project controls (cost, schedule and risk management; change control; and reporting)
  • Feasibility, business case and market analysis
  • Procurement and process management
  • Contract management
  • Working on a multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of projects
  • Project risk assessment, including identification and quantification of risks
  • Communicating with different parties such as clients and other advisors
  • Procurement options analysis
  • Project implementation advice through design and construction
  • Preparing deliverables and advising our clients on items related to
What You Bring To The Role
  • Experience with various contract types e.g. DBB, DB, EPC, EPCM, DBFO
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Project controls and contract management experience
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, business, commerce, economics, math, planning, or similar area
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to communicate and effectively engage with a diverse group of clients
  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant industry
  • Proven capability of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience drafting business plans (preferred, but not required)
  • Proven track record at “juggling” multiple and competing priorities
  • Project/construction management and/or procurement experience with large capital projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • A solid understanding of the lifecycle activities supporting an infrastructure asset
  • Ability to travel within Canada and abroad, as necessary
  • Understanding of construction contracts, procurement of major projects, design and project management
