The Director, Global Fund Oversight position is accountable for Fund Oversight management. The role is responsible for the optimization and scalability of the NAV oversight process, the analysis of potential alignments and processes integration while building strong influential relationship with key partners. Participation in projects, management of initiatives as well as staying current on accounting and regulatory reporting is required. The Director should also manage processes and serve as a role model and mentor for junior team members by sharing knowledge, and inspiring others to be engaged in the tasks and projects.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and validate changes to fund oversight procedures and ensure that documentation is updated to reach operational objectives and that standards are met.
  • Demonstrate sophisticated knowledge regarding technical aspects of work.
  • Support organisational change planning and efforts as required, namely with respect to the global consolidation of oversight.
  • Deal with internal / external collaborators/suppliers in order to resolve standard queries and problems.
  • Understand emerging issues and challenges, and develop effective resolutions
  • Document future control environment and identify high risk processes and suggest controls to be implemented to mitigate risk identified.
  • Build and demonstrate collaborations.
  • Identify capacity within the team, help find solutions to roadblocks, advance issues when required.
  • Directly lead and complete the initiatives / requests.
  • Further the understanding of, and help achieve, Fund Oversight strategic objectives
  • Manage a team of 10-15 professionals towards achieving Fund Oversight team objective.
  • Identify achievements, flag interdependencies, dedicatedly identify actual or potential issues
  • Support the development of long-term and short-term plans and goals.
  • Demonstrate a dedication towards continuously updating knowledge.
  • Develop an integrated and intuitive view of fund oversight business-as-usual results and processes.
  • Support various initiatives and ad-hoc requests, and approach new work with curiosity and creativity
  • Develop and improve appropriate dashboard and monitoring application.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience, CPA designation an asset
  • Strong business insight with ability to communicate sophisticated financial concepts and results in a clear, concise, easy to understand manner (written and verbal).
  • Expertise in working within a global organization
  • Wealth and Asset management business knowledge
  • Highly effective influence, negotiation and collaboration skills with the ability to work across the enterprise globally.
  • Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension an asset

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
CAN, Ontario, Toronto, 200 Bloor Street East
Salary range is expected to be between
$99,225.00 CAD - $178,605.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
