Role: Director of Marketing
WRKOUT is elevating the personalized fitness space through innovative health and wellness apps and technology.
We are seeking an experienced Director of Marketing who is a dynamic and experienced individual who will lead our marketing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's marketing strategy, managing the marketing team, and ensuring that all marketing activities align with the company's goals and objectives. The Director of Marketing will work closely with the senior management team to develop and execute marketing plans that drive revenue growth and brand awareness.
Responsibilities
●Determine & Implement the strategic direction of the Marketing Department aligning priorities to the company’s overarching 5-year strategic plan;
●Building programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic marketing plan;
●Develop marketing and promotional SOPs to ensure brand continuity;
●Manage the company’s influencer program and related third-party agencies;
●Training, mentoring and overseeing team members in the Marketing department;
●Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in the Marketing department;
●Develop and manage the company's branding, messaging, and positioning in the marketplace;
●Manage performance marketing across search, social, display and experimental channels (in-house or external through agencies);
●Lead efforts for the company’s presence at trade shows and activations in the market and be responsible for the quality of events and delivery / achieving KPIs;
●Supporting the strategy and direction of a vibrant social media and influencer presence for the brand;
●Monitoring & reporting on relevant KPIs, investigating cause & effect in the marketplace;
●Conduct and help oversee customer, brand and product research initiatives;
●Negotiate with media partners to guarantee favourable contract terms;
●Coordinate with other departments to elevate brand awareness globally, obtain beneficial brand partnerships and achieve strategic ROI goals for campaigns;
●Acting as both a strategic and tactical partner within the Leadership Team;
●Develop and oversee the marketing budget and monitor costs vs actual and trends / budget;
Qualifications
●Minimum of 7 years of progressing responsibility in marketing and promotions;
●Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field;
●Formal education specifically in marketing, communications, or PR is an asset;
●Technical skills in graphic design, web design and social media are assets;
●Experience with modern marketing channels and content creation;
●Experience in the fitness and wellness industry is a strong asset, as well as relevant start-up experience;
●Proven record and ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of key aspects in marketing like brand building, digital and performance marketing, creative briefs, executing campaigns and managing MROI / delivery of results / KPI’s;
●Be ready to show your past work, along with a portfolio of your current and previous accomplishments;

Job Type: Full Time (remote) Pacific time zone (+/- 3 hours) Pacific time zone preferred.
