At EarthDaily Analytics (EDA), we strive to build a more sustainable planet by creating innovative solutions that combine satellite imagery of the Earth, modern software engineering, machine learning, and cloud computing to solve the toughest challenges in agriculture, water management, carbon-capture verification and more.


EDA’s signature Earth Observation mission, the EarthDaily Constellation (EC), is currently under construction. Once operational in mid-2024, the EC will be the most powerful global change detection and change monitoring system ever developed, capable of generating unprecedented predictive analytics and insights. The EarthDaily Constellation will combine with the EarthPipeline data processing system to provide unprecedented, scientific-grade data of the world every day, positioning EDA to meet the growing needs of diverse industries.


OUR TEAM


Our global, enterprise-wide team represents a variety of business lines and is made up of sales, marketing and support professionals, data scientists, software engineers, project managers and finance, HR, and IT professionals. Our EDA sales team is nimble and creative, and we are growing in preparation for launching a frontier and disruptive product in EC. We are currently looking for an experienced Director, Global Alliances to join our crew!

Do you want to work for one of the most exciting space companies at the forefront of global change detection/change monitoring while forging relationships with an array of strategic partners to develop a state-of-the-art ecosystem for EarthDaily Analytics (EDA)? This role will have you leverage your market expertise, understanding of strategic alliances, and experience across verticals to develop relationships of strategic importance for EDA. The ideal candidate will understand how alliances and partnerships can support mutually beneficial commercial and government sales around the world. They will possess the drive and skills to build a partner network including programs designed to build sales and enhance capability to deliver a wide and complete range of solutions across multiple verticals.


PREPARE FOR IMPACT!


The Director, Global Alliances’ responsibilities include: thoroughly understanding the joint offering and shared goals to develop strategic partner networks comprised of affiliates, referrals and resellers; building appropriate partner incentives and programs; supporting regional sales directors in the management of geographic resellers; developing education programs for our strategic partners, and supporting the EDA sales team indirect sales efforts through the development of strategic partnerships around the globe. Reporting to EDA’s Chief Revenue Officer, the Director, Global Alliances will hold a quota for indirect sales as well as goals for geographic and strategic reach of the partner program. This role is a high-impact, quota-carrying sales management position that plays an integral role in the success of the overall field team and company.


  • Work with legal team on detailed contract terms, appropriate technical governance models and IP protection/sharing principles to maintain leadership and alignment with Alliances
  • Work directly with marketing team to develop Channel Marketing Program, including enhanced partner education materials, partner training, collateral, etc.
  • Work with engineering to scale technological integrations with a focus on people, systems/devices, and data
  • Create, coach and train on the Partner Engagement Model with internal direct sales team
  • Achieve assigned quota responsibility across defined Partner Channels
  • Organize meaningful business review meetings, performance data and usage insights to value and track Alliance strategy
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ensure the development of sales and delivery enablement plans
  • Identify incremental customer opportunities and assist in current sales pursuits co-selling with partners to close sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with field sales teams to identify synergies and provide partners that add value to EDA’s current customers
  • Develop and implement a strategy and business plan for Strategic Partner Alliances including clarity of partner types with new technological insights and innovations
  • Orchestrate indirect distribution channels and manage go-to-market programs across channels to influence and scale sales revenue and customers across Alliances


YOUR PAST MISSIONS


  • Proven experience developing Strategic Alliances, Partner Programs, and developing sales opportunities through Channel Partners
  • MBA or equivalent, considered an asset
  • 10+ years’ technical sales experience in a customer and/or partner-facing role in the Geospatial Industry
  • University degree or equivalent in Technical Areas (Remote Sensing, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautic, Physics, Geology, Geography etc.) or Business, Administration or Related Field
  • Must have Earth Observation, Geospatial or similarly technical market with vertical specific expertise (agriculture; commodities; supply chain; forestry; natural resource management)


YOUR TOOLKIT


  • Experience with a CRM such as SalesForce, Pipeliner or NetSuite
  • Comfortable with the pressure of a target-driven environment
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop a ‘helicopter view’ to understand/distinguish between requirements e.g., sparring partner to senior management
  • Understands the value of Strategic Alliances and how they can contribute to the growth of EDA’s global business
  • Excellent presentation and communication skillsHighly skilled in negotiation and persuasion
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-drive with an honest and ethical approach
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (more than 50% of the time)
  • Team player with a proactive and positive attitude and ability to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and teams
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • A trusted advisor who is humble, genuine, and highly inquisitive
