R esponsibilities include , but not limited to:

• Aptitude to collaborate and communicate effectively at all levels, from front-line staff up to senior management, with a high level of diplomacy, tact, discretion, and professionalism.
• Makes recommendations as to the hiring, promotion, or reassignment of personnel to the benefit of the organization and the individual .
• Desired Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications University Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Collaborates with other departments and areas of the organization to improve processes within the organization and with our stakeholders.
• Coach and correct non-compliant behavior and expected skill level in the management team and the screening personnel. Develop and implement formal training and performance development plans as required .
• Ensures proper management oversight of the screening process with a focus on creating a positive culture with continuous interaction with screening personnel.
• O perational background with a p ositive track record in managing and meeting goals.
• Must be eligible to attain and maintain the appropriate level of Federal and Transport Canada Security Clearance.
• Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to the management team responsible for the Operational Consistency and Effectiveness of the YVR Operation.
• M anagement experience preferably in a unionized environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders and other strategic business partners.
• Effective communication, client service and consulting skills.
• Collaborates with Human Resources to provide positive and effective succession and training plans for their team members.
