We are seeking a highly-motivated Regional Director of Pharmacy Operations based out of the Greater Toronto Area. Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations you will work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Managers to drive optimization and efficiencies by standardizing processes and creating an inclusive, entrepreneurial, solutions-based environment. Job Responsibilities:
- Innovate, develop and launch pharmacy products and services offered to the Company’s customers (including pharmacy customers) to drive increased revenue and EBITDA from the pharmacy network;
- Visit and supervise of all the Company’s facilities and equipment, including proper coordination of maintenance at all the Company’s acquired pharmacies;
- Preserve the value within the acquired pharmacies to ensure that there is no unplanned reduction in prescriptions within an acquired store;
- Provide pharmacy operational leadership for the Company’s stores;
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, shippers and related business partners;
- Provide day-to-day inclusive leadership of the pharmacy operations, including an exceptional customer experience and efficiency of pharmacists and staff;
- Establish operational controls along with Finance to support the performance of the stores;
- Establish, in concert with the Senior Director, Pharmacy Operations, relevant and value-creating goals, metrics and objectives of the Company;
- Work with the Pharmacy Managers to devise a hiring plan to ensure appropriate staffing, coverage and efficient delivery of service;
- Maximize the profitability of the Company by ensuring expenses are managed in line with the Company’s financial performance;
- Other activities as may be assigned by the Executive Team to maintain the Company’s pharmacy operations and profitability.
- Create and sustain a team based culture of growth and success that will attract and retain key talent and achieve a high level of morale that works collaboratively to achieve the company's objectives;
- Implement operational improvements over time to drive increased revenue and EBITDA from the pharmacy network;
- Assist with operational due diligence, working with Business Development and Deal Execution, of the pharmacies;
- Recommend to the Senior Director, Pharmacy Operations on how to maximize the Company’s short and long term profitability; and
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory regimes of the Company;
- Evaluate, monitor and supervise the pharmacy operations of the Company;
- Assist in the development of a best-in-class multi/site operating structure including consistent policy & procedures, key performance metrics and dashboard reporting;

- Commute involved – travel to numerous stores across the GTA and other parts of Ontario is required with ongoing expansion;
Success in the first year will be determined by the candidate’s ability to:
- Build trusting, collaborative, working relationships with each Pharmacy Manager and staff;
- Successfully managing aggressive growth across a large geographic area;
- Identify potential and delivery of operational optimization and increased margins.
Education:
- Pharmacy Degree;
- Pharmacy Specialty, CDE, CAE, ISTM, etc. would be an asset.
- A business-related degree would be an asset;
- Active Clinical Pharmacy Practice License with the College of Pharmacists of Ontario;
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years pharmacy practice experience; including exposure to Community, Long Term Care, Central Fill, Infusion Clinic & Specialty Compounding Settings;
- Experience working in a rapidly growing, ever changing environment.
- Multi province management experience;
- Third Party Insurance management experience;
- Multi location management experience;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharmacy retail operation oversight;
- SOP & Policy Development experience;
