About The Position

You will utilize a variety of instructional techniques and delivery methods to bring our curriculum to life for your students. At Lambton College we are moving forward with focus. The incumbent reports to the Dean, Business, English & Liberal Studies working 40 hours per week. Salary range for this position is as per the Academic Collective Agreement - $66,555 to $115,378 - and will be determined at the point of hire based on our internal classification form.
Specific Accountabilities
The Professor will be responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective environment through the design and revision of programs and courses, defining and evaluating learning outcomes, developing appropriate teaching and learning environments, and developing/selecting appropriate learning materials. You will be expected to support student learning and progress, as well as create assessments, rubrics, and evaluate student achievement.
Participating in the work of curriculum, program advisory and other committees, and keeping current in your field through consultation with business and industry representatives are essential components of these positions.
You will champion the development of customized training and educational programs in collaboration with public and private sector partners. Program promotion and student recruitment are essential areas of responsibility.
Qualifications

• Current HRPA designation as a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL)
• Be an effective role model in an educational setting and function effectively in a team environment
• Five years of industry-related experience in an executive position
• Candidates must be self-motivated, and be an independent worker who functions well in a team environment with superior communication, team building, leadership, and computer skills.
• Candidates must be excellent communicators, possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
• The successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student engagement, student success, scholarly activity, and campus citizenship. The successful candidate will be able to think broadly, celebrate the diversity of thought, and respect the uniqueness of individuals. The successful candidate will be a person who demonstrates a commitment to lifelong learning and has a high standard of professional integrity
• Previous teaching experience at a post-secondary academic level with evidence of demonstrated application of adult learning principles and teaching/assessment methodologies, curriculum design, and development is preferred
• Successful completion of a Ph.D. in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management or equivalent is required
