Human Resources Specialist (1 Year Contract)

Consisting of two key brands - FASTEN Packaging and Orchard Custom Beauty - IBG helps businesses create quality beauty products. From concept and design to getting products on shelves and online, we can support retailers, brands, and wholesalers with everything they need to get ready for retail.

We are currently looking for a Specialist, People and Culture (12 Month Contract) to coordinate and assist with HR related activities and programs for our Mississauga, New York, and Los Angeles sites. In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, retention, employee relations, training, and other employee engagement activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and can manage complex projects with tight deadlines.

Reporting directly to the Director, People and Culture, you will further strengthen and contribute to the success of the team within IBG and its subsidiaries.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Oversee the full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviewing, and managing all onboarding activities
• Support the administration of employee compensation and benefit programs
• Oversee and coordinate all People and Culture programs, including Wellness Program, Recognition Program and Learning Program
• Coordinate and deliver training programs through LMS
• Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries
• Assist with any HR-related projects or programs as requested by management

ABOUT YOU:

• Proficient in HRIS and other HR-related systems
• CHRP/CHRL designation, or working towards completion
• Knowledge of US employment standards and laws considered an asset
• You have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 years’ experience in human resources field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
