Human Resources Representative Jobs

We are growing our Human Resources Department, and currently recruiting aHuman Resources Representativeto join our team in Brampton. The successful candidate will help with policy development, recruiting, onboarding and orientation, as well as administration of health and safety training programs, special projects and social events. This position requires travelling between our Brampton and Mississauga locations.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Representative acts as the first point of contact for Human Resources to ensure timely and consistent service is provided to employees. This position is of a highly confidential nature relating to employees.

The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out a broad range of human resource functions, including full-cycle recruitment, orientation of new employees, WSIB claims management, company functions coordination, and health and safety administration. In addition, they may be asked to assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by HR Manager.

Your Expertise

• Sound understanding of ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code, and other Employment related legislation.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Proven ability to take initiative and champion a project from conception through implementation and evaluation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Post Secondary in Human Resources
• Proven organizational skills demonstrating effective time management, accuracy and adaptability
• Ability to deal with multiple deadlines, frequent interruptions and changing priorities
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with others.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources
• Ability to manage in a busy work environment and follow through while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
• High degree of integrity and discretion due to exposure of confidential and/or sensitive information
