Company Summary: SinaLite is a family owned business which has been operating since 1999. What started as a small 1,200 square-foot print shop which operated a single small AB-Dick printer has blossomed into a company of 150+ employees, containing several million dollars worth of printing equipment, and achieving a yearly sales revenue of 40+ million with over 20,000+ customers across North America.
- Ensure that housekeeping is maintained and provides a healthy and satisfactory work environment for the staff
- Communicate effectively with the HR team and internal stakeholders informing and updating them regularly
- Follow systems, processes and procedures outlined in the Corporate Policy Manual
- Other duties as assigned
- Comply with all OHSA safety requirements
- Conduct employee file audits and file employee documents
- Enhancing and executing the company’s onboarding and department training
- Provide day to day operations support for the HR department and employees
- Support the full cycle recruitment process which may include but not limited to updating job descriptions, posting positions, screening resumes through ATS and scheduling interviews
- Support human resources programs and policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details
- Support company’s engagement initiatives and employee satisfaction programs such as but not limited to brainstorming and developing department team building events for remote employees
- Assist the HR department with projects related to our performance management software and performance reviews
- Strong mathematical skills
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs and Sheets
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of people and personalities with tactfulness and professionalism
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources Management
- Demonstrates initiative and commitment to learning
- Basic knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other employment/labour laws
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of HR related matters
- Intensive computer work and extended use of the computer keyboard and mouse
- Fast-paced environment: subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours per day
- Appearance at all times must represent the company image
- Exposure to ink and chemical fumes, and airborne particles such as paper dust and drying powder
- Noise level is usually moderate to loud
- Additional hours may be required due to operational requirements
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 20 lbs
- Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
