As a strategic member of the National Development Centre Human Resources team, the Human Resources Project Manager will contribute to projects that lead to an unforgettable employee experience across Bayshore. The HR Project Manager will work closely with cross divisional business partners, HR Leadership Team and the HR Operations team (EDIT Team - Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Talent Strategy), to establish, define and implement improvements of programs, offerings and initiatives that impact and align with the company’s overall priorities and strategic objectives.


The Human Resources Project Manager will report directly to the Chief Diversity Officer & Head of Talent Strategies.


Duties And Responsibilities


As the HR Project Manager, you will deploy your skills to initiate, organize and drive progression of HR and cross divisional projects; taking lead with requirements gathering, documentation, planning and managing implementations as needed. Those improvements cut across organizational processes, structure, enabling technologies and the use of data and processes to drive business alignment, organizational performance and business value.


  • Offers a high standard of client service and professionalism as a primary point of contact for information, updates, delivery, issue resolution and tracking. Ensures collaborative decision making and positive working relationships are encouraged and fostered within all groups.
  • Completes other tasks as requested/required.
  • Supports the development of project materials and documents (i.e., proposals, presentations, letters of engagement, invoicing and project reports) and maintains the appropriate document repository system for easy of reference, quality management and version control.
  • Identifies, documents, reports and actively manages project risks - timelines, quality, cost. Recommends mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Utilize industry project management best practices, techniques, methodologies and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Provides timely and professional responds to project requests/inquiries, coordination of meetings, schedules and action items.
  • Actively manages the entire lifecycle of multiple projects (project plan development, monitoring, project kick-off, communication, cross-functional team collaboration, invoicing, business case, scheduling, risk mitigation, change management, reporting, etc..).
  • Leads project meetings including all agenda items, pre-work, action items and risk logs. Ensures appropriate follow-up and updates as required.
  • Proactively secures, organizes and manages internal and external resources needs and provides direction on work plans/deliverables, quality controls and governance structures to enable project success.
  • Measures and reports on project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Provides regular project updates to internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment of deliverable, expectations, risks and timelines.
  • Stay abreast of industry leading ways of working and incorporate best practices where appropriate


Work Location : Mississauga, Bayshore Healthcare, National Office.


Hybrid work : With a requirement to work at least 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.


Experience & Education


  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business Management, Human Resources Management, or related field of study
  • Completion of PMP designation, Lead Six Sigma certification or equivalent would be considered assets.
  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience as a Project Manager, specifically supporting HR Operations and Projects preferred
  • Experience as a Project Manager in support of HRIS, ATS, and/or PeopleSoft/Taleo projects is highly desired

  • Project management experience with ability to pull resources together to meet required outcomes and deadlines

  • Experience leading projects and change management initiatives and acts as a catalyst for change
  • Proven diplomacy, tact, decision making and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience working with Senior Leaders to gain buy-in and consensus on new strategies and programs
  • Very strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills and strong technical/systems knowledge with Excel, Word and other MS products, and experience with Project Management platforms/systems
  • Ability to handle multiple and varying complex tasks
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated team player with high energy
  • Solid presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization and external parties
