Summary:
The HR Coordinator provides support to the HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Teams with a variety of processes including updates to employee records on the Dayforce HRIS system, as well as general administrative duties supporting HR and employee-related programs. To achieve this, the HR Coordinator must be customer service focused and have the capability to independently find solutions from various HR sources. Some of the responsibilities of the HR Coordinator role may include, but are not limited to the following;
Responsibilities:
- Support new hire and employee data input and set up in Dayforce and maintenance of employee record changes
- Prepare and distribute internal transfer letters, and process related changes in Dayforce
- Deliver excellent customer service to employees, managers and other stakeholders
- Prepare various employee letters relating to leaves of absence, etc.
- Ongoing adhoc reporting for HR business partners and managers to support business needs
- General HR administration that is subject to change over time (i.e. internal job postings, vacation enquiries, etc.)
- Basic guidance and problem solving for HR and People Managers with respect to HR programs and policies
- Support the employee onboarding and offboarding processes
- Review and share new hire requests with the Talent Acquisition team, confirming approvals, etc.
- Liaise with other partners to ensure accuracy and integrity of data input to Dayforce
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, efficiency
Qualifications:
- Skilled to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Previous experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy is maintained
- Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure service level commitments are met. Capable of working well under pressure and understanding business processes possessing sense of urgency
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude, self-starter who can work independently and as a team player
- 2-4 years experience in an HR administration role
- Well-developed communication and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of Dayforce an asset
- CHRP designation an asset
- Strong mathematical aptitude a must and analytical capability
