Data/Etl Tester (Ottawa, Hybrid) - 12 Month Contract - 16575

About The Opportunity

Our reputable Ottawa based client has an Immediate requirement for Data/ETL Testers. This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established Organization that is continuing to grow. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience with Data/ETL Testing and enjoys working in a team setting.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Lead, manage, plan, and coordinate the ETL/Data testing activities: Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts
• Write and execute complex SQL based Test Scripts, on the Azure Databricks platform, for data warehouse/engineering processes based on documented data mapping and data transformation rules
• Coordinate and support the business with User Acceptance Testing
• Record test execution results and evidence of test in Azure DevOps
• Ensure the test activities are planned and performed according to requirements and standards from the Test Center of Excellence

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

• 5+ years' work experience writing tests cases and tests scripts based on documented data mapping and business data transformation rules
• Degree from a recognized university or community college with an acceptable specialization in computer, electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science or information systems
• Experience working on large scale data analytics projects
• Must be eligible for a Government of Canada Clearance
• Minimum 2 years work experience with Microsoft Azure data platform: Azure Databricks, SQL Databases, Azure Data Lake. Experience with additional programming languages is an asset: Scala, Python, R, SQL, Azure functions
• 5+ years' work experience with various types of software testing such as functional, integration, system integration, performance, etc. for data transformation processes

About the Job

Our client is offering a competitive compensation. Ottawa candidates are preferred as this will be a Hybrid position with a requirement to be onsite minimum 1 day per week.
