Adecco is currently hiring a permanent full-time Manufacturing Team Lead to join a growing company in Brampton, ON. As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a team of production workers and ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing process. Your primary goal is to optimize productivity, maintain quality standards, and foster a safe working environment. The Manufacturing Team Lead reports to the Manufacturing Plant Manager and collaborates with other department heads to achieve overall production targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Coordination:
- Oversee the manufacturing process from start to finish, ensuring the timely and efficient completion of production tasks.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to develop production schedules, allocate resources, and manage production priorities to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.
Quality Control:
- Maintain high-quality standards by enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.
- Conduct regular inspections of products and production lines, addressing any non-conformance issues promptly and implementing corrective actions.
Safety Compliance:
- Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote awareness and prevent accidents.
- Champion a culture of safety and ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and optimize workflow efficiency..
- Continuously identify areas for process improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and any incidents that occur during production.
- Generate reports on productivity, quality metrics, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve manufacturing performance.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with production planning and scheduling software is advantageous.
- Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills are essential to meet production deadlines.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve production-related issues efficiently.
