Position Description Summary

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective operation of all assigned shift, warehouse activities including picking, shipping and receiving.

Principal Accountabilities

• Supervision of all staff under your direct or indirect control.
• Health and Safety compliance in accordance with company policies.
• Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.
• Ensure all resources are utilized efficiently.
• Communicate and implement change as directed.
• Liaise with customers, shunt drivers, warehouse guards, supervisors and warehouse personnel.
• Ensure compliance with OHS procedures and practices.
• Administration duties as required to ensure daily KPI performance is achieved.
• Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
• Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the shift operations through the use of KPI’s, with a primary focus on cost controls.

Knowledge And Skills

• Must be fully versed client warehouse system.
• A high degree of initiative and the ability to work in a team environment are essential
• Strong computer skills, Excel – intermediate level.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in a 3PL company preferred
• Must be full versed in the warehouse functions
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing processes
• Ability to excel working in an extremely fast paced environment
