Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer – This position is an exciting opportunity to join our Client's vehicle assembly operations. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be assigned a portion of the process and will work with production and tooling suppliers to resolve issues and launch new product.


Compensation and Work Schedule

  • Work Schedule: 40 hrs./wk.; mainly on day shift, but may support another shift
  • Start date: Immediate
  • OT hrs./wk.: As required
  • Compensation: $42 - $48
  • Term: Contract assignment, 12 months, with possibility of extension
  • Work location/environment: Ingersoll, ON; automotive assembly facility
  • Travel: must be able to travel to US


Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in troubleshooting equipment
  • Experience in project manufacturing
  • Experience managing OEMs
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Automotive assembly experience is preferred
  • Experience within a unionized environment preferred


Responsibilities

  • • Closure of all ME open issues for Launch Deliverables
  • • Participate on lessons learned meetings gathering activity and feedback the information to the central process team for BOE/BOP updates
  • • Equipment Runoff on OEM
  • • Collaboration with the Operations Team on Program Deliverables
  • • Establishes equipment installation board and review weekly/daily with OEM and contractors
  • • Plant Equipment Install, Debug, Launch and Continuous Improvement
  • • Support review meetings in area of responsibility utilizing the checklist, capturing exceptions.
  • • Actively participate in the SCRUM / Agile Process to accomplish daily tasks and meet the project deliverables.
