Train production teams in the use of new digital solutions.

Experience with quality management processes and tools such as AQP, PFMEA, and DFM.

Establish process capability requirements and standards to confirm that proposed manufacturing processes are delivering to internal expectations.

Develop manufacturing processes for new products by studying requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment.

Experience in the manufacturing of rotating equipment.

Professional experience in solid modelling software such as Solidworks, Inventor, or similar.

Intermediate to senior level manufacturing engineering experience.

Oversee the inventory management process on site, ensuring accurate inventory is reported to the enterprise.

Complete weekly production schedules with the input from sales and forecasting teams within the organization.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce manufacturing expenses without compromising product quality.

Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to medical devices, utilizing problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to resolve issues promptly.

Familiarity with medical device regulations (FDA, ISO 13485) and quality management systems.

Qualifications and mandatory job requirements:

Support the validation and verification activities for new products, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all manufacturing, NPI, and servicing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Proficient use of computer skills (excel, word, auto cad)

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Developing knowledge of PLC based control systems, pneumatics and basic measurement instrumentation

Completion of a college diploma/university degree in engineering technology (Mechanical Engineering preferred)

2+ years of manufacturing experience

Automotive assembly experience is preferred

Experience within a unionized environment preferred

Term: Contract assignment, 12 months, with possibility of extension

Work Schedule: 40 hrs./wk.; mainly on day shift, but may support another shift

Work location/environment: Ingersoll, ON; automotive assembly facility

-Participate in creating 3D Standard Operating Instructions (SoI) for assembly and Disassembly procedures

-During specification and preliminary design phases:

-Participate to the product design reviews when required.

-During detailed design phase and before Serial Go:

-Participate to validation of prototypes if any.

-Request tooling when needed and write tooling specifications.

- Prioritizing/time management skill, ability to cope with multiple tasks

Assist manufacturing (production) to improve process tooling or needs as requested by Engineering Manager.

- Requires extensive knowledge of general machining practices

Responsible for N.C programming for all CNC/NC equipment, robot, programming, design and co-ordinate all tooling and gauging.

- Continually ensure that CNC and processing records are updated

• Must have excellent project management and provide cross-functional team-leading skills.

• Knowledge and experience in detailed part and assembly manufacturing capabilities would also be an asset.

• Completion of Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in an Industrial/manufacturing environment.

• Experience or familiarity with Aerospace MRB resolutions.

• Strong teamwork skills with an ability to work independently and under minimum supervision.

• Have the ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects at one time.

Complete all required APQP-related activities, ECR processes, PRP (8D), and all other Quality Management System requirements as needed

Ability to work independently and draw from experience in all aspect of the job assigned

Ensure compliance and enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements, QMS (IATF16949), Health and Safety

Review tooling designs/gauges to ensure they are built to meet customer and Co-Ex-Tec requirements/standards, and will run to the quoted standard

Review facilities and equipment requirements with relevant internal and external customers/suppliers

Must be proficient in hands-on process troubleshooting.

Working knowledge with CAD (preferably Solid Works or Draft Sight)

Must have working knowledge of QS9000 / IATF:16949 and ISO14001 procedures

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, conduct training and to present information in an advisory capacity.

Knowledge of robotic controls, programming, stamping, assembly, CNC equipment, material handling, inspection/gauging, and/or metal finishing equipment, considered an asset.

Design and procure tooling, fixtures, gauging etc. in order to meet manufacturing process requirements and objectives

Develop and maintain documentation and actions to support divisional requirements such as:

Experience with Project Management, Design For Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.

Identify assembly equipment, tooling, and fixture requirements. Participate in the procurement, installation, and validation activities.

Knowledge of Medium Voltage products an asset.

Experience with network infrastructure and interfacing manufacturing equipment.

Manufacturing engineering support for manufacturing operations.

Assist production personnel in downtime resolution, quality of products produced, and safety practices.

Minimum 3-5 years experience in a fabrication and assembly environment.

Has experience working with heavy equipment or similar.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding and machining is an asset).

Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.

Lean Manufacturing experience is an asset.

Minimum Experience and Educational Requirements

Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, PLCs, Autodesk Inventor for 2D/3D drawings/Models, SAP, Autodesk Vault, PLM Fusion 360 Manage, etc.

5+ years of manufacturing experience with focus in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, testing power systems and control panels or switch gears

Working knowledge of industrial control philosophies, and communication protocols

Excellent communication skills and team player attitude

Provide ES&O product maintenance support to review, search, verify alternate electrical components sources

Responsible for sustaining engineering activities, including engineering changes and managing the applicable areas of the business systems for configuration management

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public group, and/or customers

Responsible for new product launch activities. Manages and schedules new product launches.

Interfaces with subject matter experts in Test Engineering and Process engineering for specific test/equipment capabilities development.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent experience in an electronics-related discipline

Must have detailed electronic component and PCB knowledge

Work related project management experience

Provides day to day support to operations through the Process Problem Solving System and Daily Management.

Cost and Design new tooling, assist in tooling life studies of new tools, and help maintain the Tooling management system.
