Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing and manufacturing development.
- Maintain shop floor documentation.
- Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement projects to implement material, labour, and cost-saving initiatives along with capability and capacity improvements.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, methods, layouts, equipment, and tools for improved material flow and increased productivity.
- Work with Fabrication & Purchasing departments to design fixtures and order materials.
- Process engineering change requests to provide continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Lean Manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Tool and fixture design.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding and machining is an asset).
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering / Technology.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a fabrication and assembly environment.
- Has experience working with heavy equipment or similar.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks.
