The Role

We're currently on the lookout for a Production & Manufacturing Engineer to join our Concord facility. We value proactive problem solvers who can work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating enthusiasm for learning, and commitment to enhancing team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review new prints & CAD files for assigned programs, and log and distribute according to procedures.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding design, manufacturing and quality matters.
- Review checking fixture designs with a cross-functional team including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering and Tooling personnel.
- Establish and maintain ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 required systems and documentation.
- Prepare project schedules and timelines as outlined in internal procedures and customer specific requirements.
- Co-ordinate engineering changes internally and with customers and suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain PFMEA, Process Flow diagrams, Process Operating Instructions and Project Progress Reports
- Review CAD files and provide information to other departments (Quality Assurance, Tooling, etc.), review discrepancies with customers.
- Lead responsibility for APQP and PSO activities associated with assigned programs.
- Review dimensional layouts and non-conformances.
- Assign responsibilities and track program progress (including tooling, process equipment, raw material, PPAP approval, etc.)

The Person
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Strong organizational, communication and writing skills is essential.
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management procedures.
- Experience in automotive industry, preferably in metal stamping.
- Familiarity with statistical process control methods.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T.
- Knowledge of inspection gauges and measurement techniques.
- Fluency with 3D CAD software (Solidworks, Catia, Key Creator, etc.).
- Familiarity with application software (word processor, spreadsheet, database, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Good understanding of stamping, welding and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP APQP and PSO requirements.
- Familiarity with engineering specifications and standards (ASTM, SAE, etc.)
- A College Diploma is required for this position. An engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, would be an asset.
