Job Description
Norwood Sawmills is looking for a Production Associate that will play a vital role in the production process. The Production Associates role will be to ensure orders are efficiently prepared through the secure packing of parts in accordance with pick slips and Quality Assurance standards.

Requirements


Responsibilities


  • Maintain safe practices to reduce damage to the packaging and in accordance with our specifications
  • Ensure all bins and skids are wrapped and labelled correctly at the end of each job prior to being put away.
  • Look for ways to improve our day-to-day processes and communicate ideas
  • Consistently ensure the correct parts, and quantity of parts, are packaged per documentation/standards provided
  • Perform such other duties that may be assigned as required.
  • Work with power tools to build assemblies accordingly and safely, when necessary
  • Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Assist with warehouse organization and consolidate parts to ensure optimum use of bins and racking when necessary.
  • Efficiently and accurately package parts
  • Contribute to achieving production targets while maintaining product quality and consistency
  • Work in a safe manner consistently being mindful of safety owed to yourself and others.
  • Perform correct packaging practices to eliminate damage to products


Requirements


  • Dexterity with hand tools considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Work efficiently and maintain attention to detail when performing repetitive tasks
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production role, considered an asset
  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of various weights, potentially up to 50 pounds
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and a deep understanding of the importance of compliance
  • Ability to comprehend and execute instructions and guidelines accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of the highest quality
  • Steel toe footwear always required in warehouse
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, lift, and execute repetitive tasks during shifts
