Production Associate - Experienced Worker

Randstad Canada is hiring a full time worker for our client, a leader in plastic manufacturing in Windsor, for long-term Production Associates with a previous experience of at least 6 months to a year working in production of a manufacturing facility
These roles are contract to permanent, meaning that permanent roles are offered to employees who successfully complete their contract with Randstad Canada.
We are hiring for the following shifts:

• Rotating Days/Afternoons (days: 6:45 AM - 2:45 PM; afternoons: 2:45 PM - 10:45 PM, two weeks per schedule)

All shifts are Mondays - Fridays.
Wage - $17.00/hr.
New hire orientations are offered weekly on Mondays for new employees.

Responsibilities

• Attention to detail is a must
• Checking for quality and using an eye for detail to ensure accuracy
• Check a part for defects as it comes out of the paint area and grind out the issues
• Working in a production line. Hang Line never stops moving but does about 10ft/min so not super fast
• Hanging large parts into the hooks which are on a conveyor system brought through the paint chamber (side steps, shopping carts, bike racks, outdoor furniture)
• Other duties as assigned
• Any parts ready to be packed are taken off the moving line and brough to a racking system or a boxing area. Working in teams of 2-3 to make sure no parts are missed
• If work is slow/no project they will ask for volunteers to work in other plants while the work picks up
• HEAVY weight lifting - need to be able to lift 50lbs without an issue
• Bumper area: using the assisted lift to move the bumper, add in nuts and colt and QC with a high-tech camera
• General clean up

Qualifications

• Be able to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Possess CSA approved safety shoes
• Availability for full-time hours
• Able to work ongoing (no seasonal roles available)
• No bus (should ideally have their own transportation)
• Prior experience and comfort working manufacturing settings
