Garment Manufacturing Production Assistant Jobs

Knowledge of Engineering Change Management procedures.

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.

- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food industries.

- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is highly desired.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

- Assist in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment.

Focused time management and organizational skills are necessary in this position.

An understanding, experience and education of health & safety, environmental and employment legislation is a MUST.

Be present on the production floor, and knowledgeable on ‘what’s happen day to day’ to support efficiency and downtime delays.

Post secondary education in engineering, business or manufacturing is a plus, but extended tenure (10-15+) in Production leadership is also suitable

5+ years of related production leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment is a MUST – preferably in building materials

Design, source, and validate tools, jigs, fixtures and test equipment (include drafting requirements, RFI, RFQ, conducting GRR and time studies).

3+ years of experience in an assembly production facility

Must be experienced with technical writing of process documents (PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, Work Instructions, and Checklists, etc.)

Proven time management and organizational skills

Minimum of 7-10 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment

Strong planning, analytical and troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment

Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing

Experience in leading and coaching supervisors, engineers and staff

Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification a plus
