Canadian Executive Search Group (USA), a division of Arrow Workforce Solutions has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer for a Prominent Automotive manufacturing company in the Windsor, Ontario area.
Location: Windsor, ON
Shifts: DAY
Start: Hiring Immediately
Compensation: $80k - $92k Base + Benefits PACKAGE
SUMMARY:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing our polymer manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing strategies and ensure efficient workspaces. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented engineer with a passion for ergonomics and efficiency to make a significant impact on our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• To review, revise and develop all current and new Secondary Equipment.
• Investigate workstation layouts; increase process flow in the work cell.
• Increase production ergonomically without jeopardizing quality or safety of the employee and/or the product.
• Investigate new methods in cost savings re: workstations, secondary equipment, process flow, etc.
• Conduct studies and implement programs to determine optimum inventory levels for production and to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials, and resources.
• Improve plant layout(s) re: work cells development/re-development complete with CAD diagrams
• Evaluate/design automation feasibility relative to cost-savings and employee health and safety
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes for polymer production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to translate product designs into scalable manufacturing processes.
• Optimize existing processes to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure smooth production flow.
• Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment, and technologies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 2-6 years practical experience
• Must have solid knowledge of workstation layout, process flow, secondary equipment design and acquisition and developing work standards
• Experience in CAD systems operation and Microsoft Office/Corel Office. Experience with APQP & FMEA methodologies and processes, and Asset Strategy Management system (APM)
• Proficient in process optimization, statistical analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and manufacturing regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Solid experience in polymer manufacturing processes, preferably in a similar role.
• Prior experience or with Quality IATF16949: (preferred)
• Six Sigma certification or exposure to lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of polymer materials, processing techniques, and relevant equipment (preferred)
