Position Overview:
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to make strategic decisions to drive growth and profitability. You will manage a team of employees, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure that production targets, quality standards, revenue projections/market growth and customer satisfaction are met.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated a vision for future growth and will be able to have the entire team endorse and support this vision. The company is looking to expand it operations in market share, revenue growth and plant facilities and is looking for a “Conductor” to lead and inspire these efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning, Operations Management, Team Leadership, Financial Management, Sales and Marketing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, Health and Safety, Stakeholder Management
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively and promote the culture of the company.
- Must be able to demonstrate understanding the nuances of this market sector and position this knowledge to assist in your overall objectives/responsibilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the plastics manufacturing industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes, quality control, and industry regulations.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
