Product/Offering Manager, Process Industry Solutions

Role Summary

Driven by a competitive marketplace today, businesses offer complex product portfolios (hardware, software, services, acquired products, etc.) and critical business capabilities are required to deliver these products & services to the marketplace.

This role is responsible for defining the Process Industry Solutions’ product vision and roadmap to solve key customer challenges. You will work with stakeholders to review use cases and analyze portfolio gaps and conceptualize new solutions by leveraging your in-depth industry knowledge, interpretation of customer challenges, understanding of key persona needs, and deep technology expertise.

What You Will Do

• Partner with the internal stakeholders and customers to lead the design of new solutions, starting with the problem definition and progressing through the Ideation, Incubation, MVP and Scale stages, all the while ensuring the overall approach has valid cost-benefit drivers, and aligns with the business goals.
• Turn a well-researched set of market requirements into functional requirements specifications and wireframe mockups for product development.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Product Engineering to ensure accurate interpretation, implementation, and validation of customer requirements during product development.
• Research competitors and similar offerings.
• Work with the Product Management Teams to identify roadmap dependencies, align roadmaps, and translate into implementation roadmaps.
• Work closely with Program Managers to execute product launches.
• Develop / pitch business cases to obtain funding for product development.
• Own Product Management, product pricing, voice of customer feedback, product demonstrations, product release package, product lifecycle, and monthly performance tracking and reporting.
• Responsible for managing the offering lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities this role develops and executes a disciplined process and methodology to prioritize the development and go to market plans for Process Industry solutions.
• Represent Rockwell Automation in industry consortia and standard organizations.
• Monitor trends and evolving expectations within target markets and their impact on Rockwell Automation strategy and priorities for the offerings.
• Perform ongoing visits to customers and prospects to gather feedback and drive market adoption.
• Collaborate with Industry Teams to define the vision for Mining, Metals, Chemical and Oil & Gas Industry solution offerings, prioritize use cases, and develop product roadmaps.
• Understands the technology platforms in question, both from an internal-RA perspective and an industry-wide perspective.
• Work with Product Teams across Rockwell, and external Partners to identify the best technologies to meet customer requirements.
• Specify in detail how new commercial grade products will be priced and packaged as MVP.

Basic Qualifications

• High ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects and/or workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong capability to facilitate product road-mapping sessions and proven experience developing multi-year product roadmaps.
• High ability to solve unique and complex customer problems that have a potentially broad impact on their operations. Must be a proven, innovative thinker.
• Understanding of Asset Performance Management, Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance as it applies to Process industries.
• Expert global teaming and remote collaboration skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills including presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to convey information in a way that is meaningful and well received by stakeholders and team members.
• Strong project management skills. Demonstrates ability to evaluate project objectives and scope feasibility, gain understanding, schedule resources, and manage budget to plan.
• Expert ability to work well within, advise business stakeholders and interface with technical teams.
• Advanced knowledge of continuous process Industry applications (Mining, Chemical or Oil and Gas Industry knowledge is a plus).
• Advanced knowledge of IIoT Technologies with emphasis on IIoT software (experience with Advanced Data Analytics a plus)
• 8+ plus years of progressive professional experience in solution consulting and/or engineering/solution delivery roles at global manufacturing company, global technology supplier, or system integrator.
• Facilitation skills with the ability to lead and influence virtual teams to desired outcomes and obtain buy-in from senior leadership on deliverables.
• Expert ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines.

Compensation The Base Salary Compensation for this role is 122,880.00 -184,320.00 USD with an annual target bonus of 8% of base salary. Our company benefits for the US can be found here . Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
