General Manager – Nexelis, A Q2 Solutions Company (Hybrid)

Our versatile team of scientists, working with state of the art technology platforms, were instrumental in the development, qualification, validation, and large-scale sample testing of assays that supported the FDA filing of almost 350 new molecular entities, including blockbuster vaccines and biologics, anti-viral drugs, immunotherapy, gene and cell therapy products.
Working on a hybrid basis at our mothership site in Laval, Quebec as General Manager, you will have the overall accountability for the site performance, profitability, quality, delivery, client satisfaction and the engagement and health and wellbeing of our 200 employees.
You will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures and ensuring that all operations are in accordance with established health and safety regulations
• Site Profit & Loss (P&L) including strategic planning, organizing, and directing the Laval Operational and R&D activities
• Keeping Senior Management informed of area activities and significant problems. Training, directing, and appraising assigned personnel (~5 direct reports)
• Developing related budgets, directing pre-clinical and clinical operations, facility, and shared services departments
• In collaboration with the Head of Global Vaccines and the Vaccines Leadership Team, formulating and implementing short and long-term strategies, objectives, and policies

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required in business management field
• The ability to slice through ambiguity and drive clarity where confusion exists; leveraging technical expertise with strong business acumen
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility
• MBA would be a nice to have, but not essential
• 10 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/CRO environment
• Prior experience managing customers and contract services is a plus.
• Proven strong leadership, training, and motivation skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high performing teams.

• Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles and in-depth knowledge of company-specific program requirements
