Our client is an elite hospitality firm specializing in the development and operation of hotels and restaurants. They have a rich background of experience with stand-alone restaurants, hotel outlets of all shapes and sizes, and large meeting and banquet facilities, and provide expertise in concept development, menu design, promotions, and creating operating models that drive profitability and guest satisfaction. Currently seeking a passionate and competitive Hotel Manager for their 150-suite limited-service property in Windsor. The Hotel Manager will provide day-to-day leadership and direction by maximizing financial returns, driving the development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing brand standards and building awareness of the hotel and brand in the local community. Relocation and temporary housing are provided.
DESCRIPTION
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and MOL policies
- Attend to the general maintenance of all areas of the building including but not limited to rooms, parking lots etc.
- Greet customers kindly and provide information on all services
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses
- Manage all aspects of our staff including hiring, training, supervision, performance management, termination and performance review
- Supervise guests that may require assistance or accommodation. Ensure that all required services are provided to them in a courteous and timely manner. Ensure that all hotel areas are neat, clean and well-maintained at all times
- Promote a positive brand image by being friendly and accommodating to customers
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
REQUIREMENTS
- A proven track record of meeting budgets and cost controls
- Implementing procedures as they relate to cost control and inventory management
- Ensuring that hotel policies and brand standards are consistently followed
- Minimum five years experience in managing a hotel with a clear track record
- Maintaining positive relationships with the management company and clients
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree in hotel management or a related field
- Knowledge of local and state compliance laws
- The skills and experience to lead a team to consistently deliver exceptional guest service
- The ability to develop the leadership qualities of all staff
- Excellent computer system skills that also allow for the ability to learn and utilize company-issued software programs.
