Job Description

And Responsibilities


We currently have an opening at our Regina Mill for a Manufacturing Engineer with a proven track record in developing plans for inspections, carrying out emergent maintenance for assigned assets, defining and leading processes and systems for providing proper response to failures and quality repairs to the equipment by specifying repairs and modifications to equipment.


Responsibilities


  • Support Maintenance Supervisor in preparation and execution of maintenance schedules and report on performance to continuously improve the accuracy of work plans.
  • Develop maintenance procedures, methods, and testing.
  • Inspect jobs to verify the work is performed correctly.
  • Specify replacement parts and ensuring the equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Assist in developing maintenance budgets including emergent and CAPEX repair projects.


Requirements


  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with condition-based monitoring tools (vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultrasound, laser alignment, etc.)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project) and CMMS software packages, Oracle eAM and/or Maximo is an asset.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing equipment technologies and limitations, including impacts on safety, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawing, Computer Assisted Design (CAD) is an asset.
  • B.Sc. Engineering or Technologist Diploma (Mechanical or Electrical) or Journeyman in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
  • 3-5 years’ experience planning and organizing maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail in the administration of projects.
