Land Development Project Manager

Altis Recruitment has partnered with an established residential construction client of ours in Ottawa, in their search for an experienced Bilingual Land Development Project Manager. We are seeking candidates with an engineering background and an interest to join exciting residential projects! This role is permanent, full-time, opportunity with benefits, paid vacation and more!

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform any additional responsibilities as needed.
• Oversee the entire process of planning, designing, submitting, and obtaining approvals for development applications, including zoning amendments, subdivision plans, and site plan control.
• Hire and coordinate a team of consultants from various disciplines.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with project stakeholders, such as city officials, government agencies, developers, and the public.
• Conduct thorough due diligence to support land acquisitions.
• Ensure that all project files are kept updated and shared with relevant internal departments.
• Create and monitor budgets and schedules for development projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong knowledge of the Gatineau city by-laws and legislation.
• Bilingualism in French and English is required to be considered for this opportunity.
• 5-10 years experience in a Land Development management or Project Manager role.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is considered a strong asset.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or another related discipline or technical training is required.
