Job Description
departments and external suppliers to build new programs, communicating client and student needs to program development partners, meeting with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that new program development proceeds smoothly
The successful candidate will hold a university degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a pertinent discipline (e.g., business administration, commerce, education), with two (2) or more years of related experience in developing professionally-focused educational programming for cost-recovery, professional business development, marketing or sales, building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with a variety of partners (i.e., industry, government and not-for-profit).
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and characteristics:
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills – both oral and written, including meeting facilitation and presentation skills
Skilled in performing environmental scans and assessing labour market data
Knowledge of executive/professional education approaches (e.g., needs assessments, curriculum design, teaching technologies, program evaluation techniques, digital technologies)
Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of effective marketing strategies and plans
Ability to work effectively and deploy resources in projects that require both a “big picture” vision and detailed focus
Excellent client-management and/or sales skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Program design and evaluation skills
Skill in financial management, proposal writing and fundraising
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Competence with social media platforms
Proven ability to develop and implement successful business development strategies to achieve revenue-generation outcomes.
Excellent negotiation, time management and prioritization skills
Knowledge of Canadian business and economic trends.
Knowledge of how to work within international educational markets.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Organizational, project management and time management skills
A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in their work and work relationships
