Job Description
Mandate:
We are seeking a Business Development Sales Resource who will be responsible for selling International Ocean and Air Freight Forwarding Solutions, specifically focused on the Indian Subcontinent, with current and prior experience with vested customer relationships shipping from South Asia to North America Eastbound trade lanes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
Other responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Stay current with market trends, competitor activities and industry developments.
  • Work collaboratively with all inside and outside sales resources to maximize the Indian Subcontinent (ISC) market.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, including customer interactions, sales leads, and account status.
  • Identify, pursue and close sales opportunities with both new and existing clients, and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry, particularly as it relates to the Indian Subcontinent.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of freight forwarding sales experience in selling and developing South Asia to North America Eastbound trade lanes with vested or deep relationships backed by personal goodwill Fashion brands who sources products from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, respectively
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
