Reporting directly to the President of Lifemark Health Group, the VP, Growth and Business Development will be a crucial part of our strategic vision, playing a pivotal role in realizing our ambitious business goals.
The Opportunity:
As the Vice President, Growth and Business Development, you will lead the charge in securing new business and nurturing our existing client base. This role represents the pinnacle of our business development efforts, with responsibilities that include:
- Strategic Positioning: Assess the Canadian market landscape, positioning Lifemark optimally to cater to evolving client needs and surpassing expectations. Identify growth opportunities and avenues for exceeding business plan objectives; including but not limited to service design and pricing.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage key internal and external relationships. Forge strategic partnerships that enhance Lifemark's competitive advantage and business growth potential.
- Customer Satisfaction and Brand Building: Ensure the satisfaction of our contracted customers by delivering exceptional services. Develop and cultivate strong brand awareness among both new and existing customers, effectively communicating the unique value proposition that Lifemark offers.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach account managers, empowering them to spot and capitalize on new opportunities. Build a high-performance team that elevates Lifemark's value proposition and contributes to achieving organizational goals.
The Role:
Your primary objective as the VP, Growth and Business Development will be to drive substantial top-line growth across all facets of Lifemark Health Group. You will be accountable for the development and execution of a robust business development strategy, while also focusing on team leadership and enhancing Lifemark's value proposition in the market.

Your primary focus will be securing major national accounts within our operational sectors, including nurturing relationships with key existing customer programs. Proactive responsiveness to their evolving needs is paramount.
Professional Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven ability to forge strategic customer relationships.
- Minimum 8-10 years of sales or business development leadership in healthcare, auto, life, or health insurance organizations.
- Proficiency in developing metrics, incentives, and training programs aligned with high-growth strategies.
- Experience utilizing a sales CRM tool is advantageous.
- Expertise in closing substantial customer opportunities, including multi-year and multi-channel deals.
- Implementation and change management experience related to systems, new programs, and strategies.
- An MBA or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Demonstrated success in hiring and developing sales teams that resulted in exponential growth, ideally across multiple companies.
Location and Travel:
This role is based at Lifemark Health Group's National Office in Toronto, ON, with a team comprising direct reports across the country. Approximately 10-20% travel across Canada will be required.
