Vice President, Product Management

Job location: We will give strong preference to candidates based in Ottawa, but we are open to someone sitting remotely within Canada or the United States.

About The Role

As the senior leader of Product Management, you are responsible for shaping the future vision, strategy, and direction of Kinaxis Inc. product lines for RapidResponse. The Vice-President, Product Management, is accountable for leadership and direction to a cohesive team that predicts and invents the future business requirements within supply chain management.

What you will do

• Lead the product development process, working closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Accountable for Kinaxis Product Management delivery while providing leadership and direction for operational planning, strategic efficiency measures, and an exceptional team of professionals.
• Appropriately translate complex, technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences at all levels across the business.
• Work in partnership with Product Leadership on the realization of developing the right product lines, services and functionality that allows for industry product growth, leveraging your business acumen and experience, as well as business conditions to make the right prioritization and execution decisions.
• Foster collaborative relationships and communication with cross-functional teams, including engineering, professional services, marketing, sales, and global customer care to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.
• Develop communication strategies for Executive approval resulting in the implementation of strategies and programs.
• Actively participate and encourage professional development by participating in mentoring programs and partnering with the team to identify, develop and deliver training.
• Participate in budget management throughout the year and the annual budget process.
• Evaluate qualitative and quantitative data related to the product experience to identify strategies, trends, and opportunities.

What we are looking for

• Industry-leading expertise in product management, within a global leading software development organization.
• An articulate communicator with the ability to provide influential messaging for diverse audiences. Demonstrate optimistic interpersonal interactions across teams with a collaborative partnership approach and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrable agility and resiliency within an environment of ongoing urgency and is required to provide significant and measurable business recommendations.
• A seasoned senior leader with industry expertise and knowledge of supply chain management.
• Directly related experience with fundamental concepts of software design and product development practices.
• 15+ years of demonstrated progressive directly related experience.
• 5+ years for a SaaS/Cloud organization.
• Active listening skills with the ability to conduct themselves with emotional intelligence, manage ambiguity, and consider input from others to determine the best course of action.
